博士、正高级工程师、博士生导师，国家高层次青年人才、自然资源部高层次科技创新人才工程领军人才、中国地质调查局杰出地质人才和“十三五”科技创新先进个人。获中国地质学会“第十八届青年地质科技奖—金锤奖”（2022年），中国海洋科学技术奖一等奖（排名第1）（2022年）、中国力学学会科技进步一等奖（排名第3）（2021年）。

研究方向为海洋天然气水合物资源环境影响。任天然气水合物勘查开发国家工程研究中心副主任、天然气水合物工程技术中心环境评价室主任。主持国家水合物专项项目、国家重点研发计划项目课题、国家自然科学基金项目、广东省基础与应用基础研究重大项目、广东省海洋经济发展六大产业专项项目、广州市科技计划项目等10余项国家及省部级项目。在Energy & Fuels、Deep-Sea Res Pt I、Applied Energy等国内外高水平期刊发表论文100余篇，其中第一/通讯作者论文35篇，1篇入选ESI高被引论文，H指数22。所有论文在SCI数据库中被引用2600余次，他引2000余次。获授权专利28项（中国发明专利18项，美国发明专利1项），实用新型专利9项；软件著作权8项。担任《地球科学》&《Journal of Earth Science》青年编委，中国地质科学院和中国地质大学（武汉）研究生导师。担任广东海洋协会副会长及水合物分会会长、第二届中国光学工程学会海洋信息网络专业委员会。
