基础研究

持续推进中波边缘海地学领域的国际合作，联合开展了南海琼西南海域晚更新世三角洲沉积与古环境评价研究，海上丝绸之路起点与终点圈地质对比（南海珠江口和波罗的海奥得河口）研究。创新点与主要科技贡献：1）系统完成南海西北部近岸海南古三角洲研究，首次在南海西北部陆架区开展了100m长钻孔高分辨率的年代测试，建立了该区域的晚第四纪年代地层模型。2）揭示晚更新世以来三角洲形成的古地理环境变化，认为三角洲具有快速海侵，高水位，海退-海侵海平面变化旋回，推测三角洲形成过程主要受气候驱动型海平面变化的影响，不同于传统海退形成三角洲的模式。3）联合发现海南岛近岸新硅藻种类，以中外专家姓氏联合定名。4）在南海西北部硅藻与环境研究领域取得新认识，揭示硅藻指标对冰期旋回及典型气候转折期古海洋学响应关系，为系统分析南海区对全球变化的响应提供思路。5）揭示高低纬度珠江口与奥得河口冰后期海平面变化、沉积演化趋势的异同点，认识到全球冰量改变的水动型海平面和地壳均衡调整的地动型海平面变化在这两个河口区的地质响应异同。6）揭示珠江口与奥得河口的河口体系与岸线变化在海上丝绸之路形成前后有巨大的分异。7）揭示起源于高纬度跨半球尺度的气候事件，如4.2 ka 气候冷事件、中世纪暖期事件在珠江口亦有记录。8）获得波兰西滨海省科技创新奖励（2021）。
